Hi there, tasty peeps!
Gator here.
Can it be true? Has Nice Elinor really given me a page all to myself?
Yes! It’s true!! Muaha. She says I’ve been such a good gator, helping her with her writing. (Yes, I’m the one around here with the brains.)
So important things first: About me.
I was hatched in 2007, as an online avatar, a tiny alligator no less, although of course in reality I’m a very big alligator indeed. Especially my jaws.
I like swamps, and of course, fish, lots of fish. If you have any spare, feel free to send them my way. Though no spam please, I get quite enough of that already.
Officially Nice Elinor tells me I’m her writer’s muse but it’s all just such a bother and she’s such a bore. I’d much rather have a little snooze. Or watch swamp TV. Or listen to my favourite podcasts or dance tunes. I’m a great dancer you know!
All this typing really does make me very sleepy you see. Yawn. I think I’ll go and lie on that sandbank over there.
Feel free to take a look at some of my favourite things while I’m napping. Stay clear of the larder, and you’ll be fine.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
World’s most splendid blog: http://crocodilian.blogspot.co.uk/ With the awesome Croclog podcast!
Nice Elinor says this is us, and why can’t I spend more time in the closet. http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.co.uk/
Some books for those lazy days on the sandbank: David Alderton. Crocodiles & Alligators of the World.
Leonard Rue. Alligators and Crocodiles: A Portrait of the Animal World.
The only writing book Nice Elinor has ever foisted on me that’s not so boring. Wonderbook: The Illustrated Guide to Creating Imaginative Fiction by Jeff VanderMeer With added fish!
See? I’m sooo clever! Tool Use in Crocodilians
Best TV programme ever ever: BBC’s Swimming with Crocodiles
One of my awesome relatives: BBC’s David Attenborough and the Mother Caiman
Music for paddling to: Jerry Reed — Amos Moses
Anything by Country Joe and the Fish!
Welcome to the limelight, Gator!
Thank you, Martin! You are always most welcome here. And Evil Martin too, indeed, especially Evil Martin, particularly if he brings his own seasoning. 🙂
*Throws the gator a few rainbow trout* Sorry that’s all we have around here. Or if I can get closer to the ocean I can get some salmon.
So glad you finally have your own bog er, blog. Elinor is a nice gatorkeeper.
Chomp chomp chomp.
Yummy! That was a most delicious trout, friend Tina. You can drop by the bog any time you please! 🙂
As for Elinor, she’s okay I guess. *shrug*
Go Gator!
Woot!
*Gator waves at friend Fidget*
