The Submissions Grinder

I want to do a quick post about this awesome free submissions tracker, just in case you’re a writer and haven’t discovered it yet.

It was set up as a free alternative to Duotrope when the latter decided to start charging a hefty fee for browsing its lists. And it’s proving to be every bit as useful as Duotrope, indeed, in some ways it’s better. It even has graphs for goodness sakes. And the front page is huge fun where you can see in one place a list of all recent activity.

There’s really only one thing about it I’m not too sure about: the name (grin).  Its front page features a picture of a meat mincer and the words, “The Grinder” in large letters. It sounds a bit like a dodgy dating site or, perhaps, Gator’s larder. And you don’t want to go near Gator’s larder I can tell you. But name aside, I have nothing but praise for it.

Tell all your friends about it and long may it continue!
